Numerous leaks have suggested that the iPad mini 7 is rapidly approaching, with the most notable sign perhaps being the iPad mini 6 stock clearing, and now we’re wondering when Apple’s next Mini slate will ship. The exact date is known.
According to Mark Garman, writing for Bloomberg, the iPad mini 7 could be announced around the end of October and ship on Friday, November 1st. That means this tablet could be announced in just a few weeks and shipped within four weeks.
We always take release date leaks with a grain of salt, but Gurman has a solid track record of reporting Apple information, and this isn’t the first time we’ve heard mention of October’s Apple event.
Therefore, it is likely that this date is accurate. And if so, that’s welcome news as we’ve been waiting for a successor to the iPad mini (2021).
No sign of iPad 11
However, if you’re interested in other new Apple tablet models, you’ll probably have to wait until early 2025. At that time, Garman said Apple could launch new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models along with the iPhone SE. 4.
He didn’t mention a new iPad Pro model, which isn’t too surprising since the iPad Pro (2024) was just released this year. What’s a bit surprising is that there’s also no mention of the iPad 11, even though the current standard iPad model, iPad 10.9 (2022), is almost two years old.
So if you’re hoping for a new model in Apple’s basic or high-end iPad line, you’re likely going to be waiting a while.
