iPad Mini 7: New features and upgrades
design: After a three-year wait, the iPad Mini 7 debuts with some notable improvements. The design, dimensions, and weight are the same as the iPad Mini 6. Apple has introduced new color variants of Space Gray, Blue, Purple, and Starlight. The new iPad also features a 2x faster USB-C port, up to 10Gbps, which is also a significant upgrade.
performance: The new iPad Mini 7 is powered by the A17 Pro chipset, which was also used for the flagship performance of last year’s iPhone 15 Pro model, highlighting a significant upgrade throughout performance. Apple claims the iPad Mini’s new chipset delivers a 30% increase in CPU performance and 25% increase in GPU performance. Apple intelligence: Equipped with an enhanced CPU and GPU, the A17 Pro chipset also offers Neural Engine functionality to support artificial intelligence (AI)-related tasks. Therefore, the upcoming iPadOS 18.1 update could roll out Apple Intelligence with features like a notification summary AI writing tool, genmoji, smarter Siri, ChatGPT integration, and more.
screen: In terms of viewing experience, the iPad Mini 7 has a similar 8.3-inch display with a resolution of 2266 x 1488 and brightness of up to 500 nits.
