Apple intelligence compatibility
Apple Intelligence works with all modern iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Before enabling Apple Intelligence, be sure to double-check that you own one of the compatible devices below.

To use Apple Intelligence in the UK, you must change the language of your device and change the language of Siri. To access it, follow these steps:
- Change your device language:[設定]>[一般]>[言語と地域]>[言語を追加]>[英語 (米国)]
- Change Siri’s language:[設定]>[Siri]>[言語]>[英語 (米国)]
- Then go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Turn on Apple Intelligence.
Note: Apple Intelligence is not available in the European Union or China at launch. Apple hasn’t said when customers in these regions will have access to the AI tools.
How to get Apple Intelligence in the UK
1. Update to the latest software

To get Apple Intelligence, you must first update to iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS Sequoia 15.1.
To do this, follow these steps on your iPhone or iPad. Select Settings, then General, then tap Software Update. For Mac users, Go to the Apple logo in the menu bar, then System Settings, then Software Update.

Once you’ve verified that your device is compatible with Apple Intelligence and updated to the latest software, you can change your device settings to access new AI features.
2. Change your device language

3. Change Siri language

You need to change the language for Siri, so move on to the next page. Select Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Language, then change the language to English (United States)..
Once you have done this, restart your device for the settings to take effect.
4. Enable Apple Intelligence

Once your device restarts, open Settings again and go to Apple Intelligence & Siri. You’ll see that Apple Intelligence is available, so turn it on and join the waitlist.
