Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch its most expensive smartphone yet, called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. This phone has been the talk of Samsung fans for the past few weeks. Previously, the device was rumored to debut on September 25th as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim. But the company has other plans. Now, known leaker Evan ‘evleaks’ Blass has shared two renders of the smartphone without any context, but this could be the first look at the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition: What the renders tell us

A render shared by Evan Blass shows the back of a phone that appears to be the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. The device in the image features a three-camera setup with a raised island and a separate camera ring, adding to the thickness of the device.

The second rendering shows the device from the side. There are two buttons on the side of the phone, likely a volume rocker and a power button. The phone appears to feature a thin and flat midframe.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is rumored to be the company’s thinnest foldable phone to date, measuring just over 10mm thick. By the way, the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 12.1mm profile. The upcoming phone may be thinner than the regular model, but it is still said to feature a larger 6.5-inch external display and an 8-inch internal display.

According to reports, this phone will cost around $2100 ( INR1,76,000), available in black only. It remains to be seen whether the new slim model will only feature a better design or will also have enhanced performance. A report from Galaxy Club suggests that Samsung may eventually upgrade the under-display camera (UDC) on the Galaxy Fold 6 Slim to 5MP from the 4MP the company has been using since the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
