Do you want to cancel YouTube Premium?
Apparently, YouTube Premium users around the world are receiving emails about the impending price increase. Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Italy will have higher prices for the entire service, including family plans, Switzerland and Sweden will have higher prices for family subscriptions, and the Middle East, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia will have higher premium prices. And since this is only what was reported by users, we can expect more areas to be affected (see the linked article for more details). But this change has us at the AP wondering how many users will cancel their YouTube Premium plans if the high prices come down. YouTube Premium’s price isn’t very good to begin with. Many people have a problem with the price not reflecting what they’re getting (especially if they don’t need YouTube Music), and increasing the price won’t solve this situation. So, will you be one of those who quit your service, or do you feel the higher fees are justified?
When was the last time you installed a custom ROM on your Android?
In the early days of Android, I was a rooting and romping geek, flashing ROMs left and right, always looking for the most stable version with the most features I could find. Granted, I dabbled with Cyanogen, but considering that at the time I was using carrier phones like LG, HTC, and Samsung, neither offered their own custom skins that were all that great. Given what I was doing, I was more of a stock ROM seeker. But that was many years ago, and since then I have stopped ghost-hunting for quality ROMs and am completely happy with the status quo and the software that comes with modern smartphones. So for me, it’s been almost 10 years since I stopped loading custom ROMs on my Android device. But dear reader, when was the last time you looked for a custom ROM and installed it on your Android smartphone? Hit the comments and let us know. I think it’s been a long time for many people.
How often do you use Gemini?
There’s no denying that Google is pushing Gemini into everything from Messages to Gmail. You can’t escape from it. Sure, there are apps and subscription tiers for those apps, but Google seems to feel that it will take some convincing from all of us to force its services into everything and use AI. So this is what I thought. Probably very few people actually use Gemini. That’s why I wanted to ask the question. How often do you use Gemini, or not at all? I have a sneaking suspicion that no one is that interested in AI, so hit the comments.
I want to see your home screen!
One of the best things about Android is that it’s highly customizable, whether you’re using a Galaxy, Pixel, or any other device. Which launcher you use can have a big impact on how customizable it is, which is why many people use third-party apps. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t easily theme your Samsung or Google device. Both offer a lot of customization on their own. So what’s your perfect setup, are you a third-party launcher fan or do you prefer rolling back your phone’s stock? In either case, let’s take a look at the home screen . This way everyone can get a feel for the types of themes going on in the Android world. Click the comments below and show us your perfect home screen setup.
How important is Qi2 wireless charging to you?
Sure, I’ve used wireless charging here and there, but I can’t say it’s really what I was looking for. That was until I picked up the Pixel 9 Pro. I currently own a primary device that not only has Qi2 charging, but can wirelessly charge devices like Pixel Buds on its own. This is pretty clever in my book, so I finally got around to wireless charging like crazy. So what about you? Do you feel Qi2 wireless charging is worth it or are you disappointed by the slow charging speed compared to wired? Click in the comments below to see your use case or if you’re still shying away from Qi2 charging Please share why you are doing so.
