Quick Share, a Samsung and Google integration, is a convenient file sharing app. Available for Android, ChromeOS, and Windows, this app lets you send photos, videos, documents, audio files, and even entire folders over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct.
For mobile users, the application is configured to support file sending over mobile data. Meanwhile, Windows users will also receive the update. It’s not as sexy as mobile data support, but it’s necessary for the overall stability of the application.

Quantify your progress as a percentage
This update follows version 1.0.1939.4 and improves app animations, adds cars and foldable devices to the list of device types, and supports credential expiration. Please note that the Microsoft Store’s Quick Share app is Samsung’s version and currently only works on Samsung devices. Integrated versions of Google’s apps for Windows devices are available only from Google’s website.
In other Quick Share-related news, Google appears to be testing UI tweaks that would bring the app on mobile closer to the desktop version. For reference, Windows Quick Share displays the estimated time remaining along with the transfer speed during active transfers. As part of a recent test, mobile users started seeing a percentage-based progress bar, which allows them to more accurately track the progress of their transfers. This change appears to be part of an A/B test and has not yet been widely rolled out.
