According to a new rumor, Google will only release a new Pixel tablet every two years. Therefore, Pixel Tablet 2 is expected to arrive in 2025 and Pixel Tablet 3 in 2027. Also, in 2027, the company plans to launch the affordable Pixel 11a.
These two devices theoretically use the same Tensor chips as the flagship Pixel series, but in reality they’re not quite the same. Google is said to be planning to fuse defective parts of TPUs together to save chips that would otherwise have to be thrown away. These chips will be used in the Pixel 11a and Pixel Tablet 3.

Therefore, the AI performance may have decreased compared to flagship Pixel smartphones. This move may result in performance differences between devices. This can be perceived as a real difference in performance. Or it could mean that some features aren’t available on Pixel 11a and Pixel Tablet 3.
The Pixel 9a has a downgraded modem compared to other Pixel 9 smartphones, and that trend is likely to continue in the future.
That said, keep in mind that it’s 2024 and we’re talking about 2027 here. Since these devices have not yet been developed, it is clear that a lot can change between now and later.
The Pixel Tablet 3 is also said to come with an additional USB-C port and support DisplayPort output for up to two displays when used in a daisy chain connection.
