Samsung aims to maintain dual chipset launch strategy to reduce dependence on Qualcomm and reduce chipset spending this year, with rumors suggesting it will use MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 in one of its Galaxy S25 models has been flying around for a while. Neither Samsung nor MediaTek have confirmed the veracity of this claim, but Google may have accidentally spilled the beans on how their partnership might blossom in the future.

Speaking about the advances made in Google’s AlphaChip division, the company may have revealed the use of Dimensity 9400 in Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series

For those who don’t know, Google’s AlphaChip is the advertising giant’s DeepMind AI division that leverages artificial intelligence to design processors. In a recent blog post highlighting progress in this field, the company revealed a possible partnership between Samsung and MediaTek in the following paragraphs:

“External organizations are also adopting and building on AlphaChips. For example, MediaTek, one of the world’s top chip design companies, is expanding AlphaChip to improve power, performance, and chip area while building on Samsung’s mobile phones. We accelerated the development of cutting-edge chips such as the Dimensity flagship 5G used in phones.”

As you may have noticed, there is no specific mention of the Dimensity 9400 and Galaxy S25 series, but there is mention of the “Dimensity Flagship 5G”, which could be either the Dimensity 9300 or Dimensity 9300+, which is Not true. Samsung’s Galaxy S24 models were equipped with one of MediaTek’s top-end chipsets. The Dimensity 9400 is expected to be officially announced tomorrow, so it’s possible that either company will reveal an existing partnership between the two companies.

In summary, Samsung was supposed to incorporate some of the Galaxy S25 variants into the Exynos 2500, but due to the unstable yield of the 3nm GAA process, the company simply could not attract potential customers. It appears that the release of the flagship model has also been delayed. Release of chipset. Fortunately, the Exynos 2500 may not be scrapped, as Samsung is rumored to use it for the “price and performance” Galaxy S25 FE and future foldable smartphones.
