Why do we need this? 🤔
You may be thinking, “I have a phone and a laptop, so why do I need a tablet?” This iPad is the sweet spot between the two, especially for those looking for a little more computing power and screen size than the regular iPad or iPad mini. Need more than a touchscreen and on-screen keyboard? Compatible with both the wireless Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil (first version), making writing and drawing easy. Reading and watching videos on your iPad is much more fun than on your phone.
“Like a Lamborghini, you know how a Corvette gets you to your destination fast and in style? That’s my take on the iPad Air,” says Rick Broida, senior tech writer. “At the end of the day, the Air is a good choice for people who want a pro-level iPad without paying Pro prices.” (Pro prices start at $999, if you’re interested.)

Strong Points 👍
“I really like this iPad Air!” one satisfied customer raved. “Beautiful, lightweight, and packed with storage and features. My M1 only had 64 GB, so it was easy to fill up. But with this new beauty, you can add as many apps as you want. can!”
Beyond storage, being able to use the Apple Pencil is a big selling point, especially for digital artists. “I like to draw, so I mainly use it for Procreate. The battery life is very good.I can draw for almost 1-2 days on a single charge.” 5 stars says a reviewer. “It’s unbelievably heavy. I can’t feel anything.”
Another reviewer said the iPad Air is often overlooked but should be the go-to for most people. “To be honest, unless you’re a video editor or using the iPad as a computer replacement, the M2 chip is much more powerful than what the average user would use the iPad for.” they said. “I mainly use it to enjoy entertainment, iMessage with friends, watch YouTube, surf the net, and play some games, but the iPad Air M2 It does all this seamlessly, and its 11-inch form factor is perfect for when you’re lying in bed or traveling.
Cons 👎
The iPad Air is more powerful than the regular iPad and iPad mini, but it still pales in comparison to the iPad Pro. “I have a 2019 iPad Pro 11 1st generation, so the specs on the new iPad Air aren’t that impressive. The first thing you’ll notice is that it doesn’t support Face ID. It doesn’t have a 120Hz display. Not bright,” warned a four-star reviewer. “That’s a lot to cut from a new unit from five years ago. It’s sad, but it couldn’t be snappier.”
Speaking of criticism, here’s what Broida had to say: “Performance-wise, the Air more than satisfies most users. You should only consider moving to the Pro if you capture and edit a lot of video.” If you own one, it won’t work here. Sorry, Apple. (However, the 1st generation Apple Pencil is compatible.)
