Former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith had a big day in the air against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, completing 30 of 52 pass attempts for 312 yards and Seattle’s 36-24 loss. He scored one touchdown in the game.
But it wasn’t all rosy, as the NFL’s top passer had two interceptions on the night.
In the fourth quarter of the game, Smith was caught on the sideline slamming his tablet over his head after seeing something that made him angry.

His frustration probably reminded Seahawks and West Virginia fans of fullback Owen Schmidt, who infamously took a helmet to his head. Obviously, the tablet is not that dangerous, but he could have thrown it on the ground with the end of the clip and caused some damage.
The Seahawks struggled to help Geno all season as his receivers had problems with drops, and the run game was almost non-existent, gaining only 96.5 rushing yards per game.
Seattle started the year 3-0, but after losing three straight, they find themselves looking for answers. Smith and the Seahawks will get revenge next Sunday when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons at 1pm ET on FOX.
