Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition may implement a striking crease

One of the main complaints Samsung fans have about the company’s foldable phones, aside from the fact that their spec sheets are often inferior to competitors’, is that Samsung doesn’t do enough to make the creases invisible. No measures have been taken.

Foldable phones have folded displays, so they have creases down the middle or to the sides, which can be visually and physically distracting. It would be a very foolish idea to completely hide the creases, but Chinese manufacturers have done a great job of making them as invisible as possible.

Samsung, on the other hand, hasn’t shown similar passion in that regard. The company has chosen to make incremental improvements each year that are not noteworthy. The only phones Samsung made notable changes to this year were the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

The fold lines on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are hard to miss when the foldable displays are turned off. However, when this is turned on, the creases on the 2024 model are much less reflective. Thanks to internal changes, the touch is also less noticeable when your finger slides across the center of the screen.

And it looks like Samsung isn’t done yet. According to a tipster with a strong track record, the company has “done a better job than ever at suppressing creases” with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which is expected to be released by the end of the year.

The tipster doesn’t elaborate further or talk about it. how Samsung has achieved so-called crease control, but the wording suggests that improving crease is not easy.

Of course, those who bought the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may not like the idea of a special version being released right after the regular model, and wonder why Samsung didn’t implement some of the improvements and enhancements over the regular model. You may be wondering.

Fans will also be disappointed that the Fold 6 Special Edition isn’t available in most countries, but hey, it is what it is. We’re glad to see that Samsung is finally working on addressing some of the shortcomings of its existing Galaxy Z Fold smartphones, including the not-so-great camera specs.
