10th generation iPad to arrive in multiple colors in 2022
After the rest of the iPad lineup is updated in 2024, the lowest-priced model will be refreshed in spring 2025.
The regular iPad was last updated in October 2022, and this 10th generation model was reduced to $349 in May 2024. This is currently the last iPad to be updated. bloombergThe 11th generation iPad will be released in the spring.
The iPad is said to have at least the same design as the 10th generation. It is unclear which processor will be used, but it will likely be faster.
The 11th generation iPad will likely be released around the same time as Apple announces the new iPad Air and expected iPhone SE 4.
This means that the update interval for iPad Air will be less than one year. The iPad Pro is not expected to undergo a similar update cycle, and will instead likely be updated with the M5 processor in late 2025 or early 2026.
Separately, it has recently been claimed that the iPad mini will be updated to use an OLED display. However, that is not expected until at least 2026.
