Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CERT-In) has detected multiple vulnerabilities in Android mobile phones of versions 15, 14, 13, 12 and 12L (for flip phones) that can be exploited by hackers. has been identified. These concerns are described in two recent advisories CIVN-2024-0319 and CIVN-2024-0318 for both Android and Google Chrome users, potentially putting millions of devices at risk. There is.

CERT-In rated the vulnerabilities as “high risk” and said cyber attackers could exploit these vulnerabilities through applications or malicious websites to execute code and gain access to the system.

CERT-In advises users to update their Android devices as soon as Google releases them, and Chrome users should make sure they’re running the latest version of the browser.

Google is already aware of this issue and has released security patches (129.0.6668.100 for Windows and Mac and 129.0.6668.89 for Linux) for these identified vulnerabilities.
