Microsoft released Windows 11 version 24H2 and ended support for version 22H2 with this patch day. You can upgrade to the latest version. If you’re running Windows 11 on incompatible hardware, check out this guide to installing the latest version.

New or significantly improved Windows apps

Charmy: Hot Corner for Windows

Charmy is a free app that you can use to add specific actions to the corners of your screen. These are pretty limited by version, but you can open Start, Task Manager, Quick Settings, or Search.

Options to add custom actions, such as launching a program, are currently not supported.

Document+

Docs+ is free document editing software for Windows. Supports major formats such as the popular Word format, ODT, and EPUB.

WhyNotWin11

WhyNotWin11 is an open source tool for Windows that checks if your PC is compatible with Windows 11 system requirements.

Windows 11 users can run this to check if their device is compatible with certain features of the operating system.
