Google has updated its Chrome browser for Android with a new feature that allows users to listen to web pages in the background. The feature, called “Listen to this Page,” was first introduced earlier this year, but it lacked support for background playback. With the latest update, Chrome will continue to play audio from web pages even if users switch to another app or turn off their phone’s screen. The “Listen to this page” feature is available in Chrome’s three-dot menu. Users can configure Chrome settings[ツールバー]You can also add shortcuts to features next to the address bar by going to the Shortcuts option. When this feature is enabled, text on web pages is read out loud using text-to-speech technology.

Background playback is a welcome addition to Chrome for Android. This allows users to multitask while listening to a web page, such as listening to a news article while checking email or listening to a podcast while browsing social media. This feature is also helpful for users who are visually impaired or have difficulty reading.

To use the background play feature, simply start listening to a web page using the “Listen to this page” feature. Then switch to another app or turn off your phone’s screen. Audio continues to play in the background. You can control playback using the media player in the notification panel.

The Listen to This Page feature is a great way to consume web content on the go. Added support for background playback, making it even more convenient.

The latest update to Chrome for Android includes support for background playback, as well as a number of other improvements. This includes performance improvements, security improvements, and stability improvements. If you’re an Android user, be sure to update your Chrome browser to the latest version to take advantage of these new features.

It’s always fun to see new accessibility features added to popular apps. The background playback feature in Chrome for Android is a great example of this. This is a useful feature that makes a big difference for many users, and we hope to see more features like this added to Chrome and other apps in the future.
