Android 15 started rolling out to Pixel devices today, but Google’s phones aren’t the only hardware to experience the new OS. If you own an ASUS ROG Phone 8, sign up now to be one of the lucky few to preview Android 15.
ASUS has announced the launch of the Android 15 preview program. Unfortunately, this program is only for the ROG Phone 8, so if you have another ASUS phone, you’re out of luck.
ASUS explained in a post on its community forums that the program will allow Phone 8 owners to experience an Android 15 skin in the first phase of development. Since this is a preview, the program is intended to help the company find and fix bugs. It invites owners to participate in the program, but warns that they should think carefully about whether to participate first as they are likely to encounter bugs.
How to sign up for the Android 15 preview program
To register for the program, you will need to visit: Settings > System > System Update. On the system update page, there is a gear icon in the top right corner that you can tap to[Android プレビュー プログラムに登録]Options will be displayed. From there, accept the privacy policy, sign up for an ASUS member account,[送信]Just click.
If you are selected, you will receive an email from ASUS informing you of your participation. I can’t brag about what I saw in the preview as it’s confidential, but ASUS says there will be an official announcement. A participant-only forum where you can ask questions and report bugs. Additionally, you will not lose your warranty for the software installation and can exit the preview by replying to your registration email.
If you own another Android smartphone and want to know when Android 15 will be available, check out our Android 15 update tracker. Samsung is usually one of the first brands to get it, but that’s not the case this time, as the beta version of that skin isn’t expected to be released until later this year.
