One TikToker claims to have seen multiple videos of people returning newly purchased Apple phones, and a quick search on TikTok reveals that many of them do exist, but here’s why. claims to know.
This video by creator Kooper Vandross (@koopgotm) has been viewed over 696,700 times in one day. It begins with a spliced video talking about why the iPhone 16 is being returned so often, but the video’s creator says it has to do with the iPhone 16 being “unfinished.”
Then Vandross reacts and comes in.
“All these people are returning their iPhone 16s,” he claims. “Apple, why would you release a phone that’s supposed to have features that aren’t even in the phone yet? They’ll come later. Maybe they’ll wait and release the iPhone 16 later. I probably should have.”
And he claims that people are “downgrading” to iPhone versions 15, 14, and even 13 in response.
“Apple, you’re overcooking the grits,” he observes. “And what pisses me off the most is that you guys are making me look bad on the street because I’ve been badmouthing Android and Galaxy.” I’ve watched over 20-30 videos about returns. This is terrible.” This is very bad. ”

Many customers may hold off on purchasing until these features are fully available, which could result in increased sales later in the cycle. there is.”
But then we predicted a surge in interest due to the AI capabilities, which are mostly limited to the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models. (If you’re a 15 Pro owner, know that your phone will eventually have these permissions as well.)
“Another factor that could work in Apple’s favor is improved contracts with U.S. wireless carriers for the iPhone 16 Pro,” the article continues. “Trade-in credits for Pro models are higher compared to last year, potentially driving more customers toward these premium devices. Given the higher margins on Pro models, Apple’s Potentially more profitable.”
Apple probably won’t see any short-term earnings trends. forbes Record profits are predicted for Apple this year.
