Apple today announced expansions to its Apple Business Connect program. This allows businesses to send information about their business to Apple and appear in Apple Maps, Siri, and even more places across the operating system.
With iOS 18.2, you’ll be able to display your brand logo next to emails from participating businesses in the Mail app. Next year, phone apps will be able to identify incoming calls from businesses with a logo badge and friendly name. Enhanced caller ID and branding helps users distinguish legitimate communications from spam and phishing attacks.
Apple Business Connect was previously limited to businesses with brick-and-mortar physical locations. As part of the changes announced today, the program has been expanded to also include virtual, online and service businesses.
With the new Branded Email feature, iPhone users will now see emails from businesses annotated with a distinctive company logo and brand name in the Mail app. Businesses can sign up to participate now, and the feature will be rolled out as part of iOS 18.2 later this year.
For the first time, businesses can also display custom art on the Tap to Pay interface when accepting contactless transactions using an iPhone.
As part of an upcoming iOS update in 2025, Business Caller ID will help iPhone users avoid spam calls and talk to businesses with confidence of legitimacy. Once activated, verified calls from your company will appear directly on your iPhone’s lock screen, and call information will display the corresponding company name, logo, and department label.
Joining Apple Business Connect is completely free. If your business is interested in offering these rich integrations with the Apple platform, sign up for a free Apple account at businessconnect.apple.com.
