Apple will release an updated Magic Keyboard for new iPad Air models in early 2024, according to a rumor from Bloomberg’s Mark Garman. The keyboard will be available for 11-inch and 13-inch tablets.
Here’s what we know
The new iPad Air keyboard may include some of the features added to the latest version of Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro released in May of this year. The updated Magic Keyboard may include a thinner, lighter design, an aluminum kickstand, an updated trackpad, and an additional row of keys to quickly adjust screen brightness, volume, and other settings. .
Officials say the new iPad Air models are codenamed J607 and J637, and the new keyboards are R307 and R308. It’s similar to the iPad Pro keyboard, but some functionality may be limited.
Apple released the current iPad Air model with the M2 chip in May, so the next update could focus on improved features and new accessories.
