Apple is gearing up for an eventful week.
The company is expected to introduce both software and hardware updates to its technology lineup, with expected revenue also on the books on October 31st.
Apple’s head of marketing Greg Jozwiak told his X followers on Thursday to “Mac” their calendars for a week of announcements from the tech giant.
Eligible iPhone owners will also get access to the first round of Apple Intelligence features with the iOS 18.1 update. Apple first announced its GenAI plans at the Worldwide Developer Conference earlier this year.
The AI tool is only compatible with iPhone 15 Pro and newer and has been highly anticipated since Apple Intelligence introduced it in June. Apple doesn’t have an exact date for the AI rollout, but it is expected to start this week and the company said it will continue “through next year.”
Apple did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment.
Bloomberg technology correspondent Mark Garman told X that there will also be “hands-on experience” related to the Mac announcement for media and content creators in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Gurman previously reported that the new Mac lineup will include a new M4 version of the iMac, a MacBook Pro, and an updated Mac mini.
Apple is scheduled to announce its fourth quarter results on Thursday. Apple Intelligence was a hot topic during its third quarter earnings release.
CEO Tim Cook told investors at the time that Apple was investing more in its AI efforts. “We’re very excited about the level of value we can deliver to our users thanks to Apple Intelligence,” Cook said on a conference call in August.
