- CPU and RAM could be comparable to iPhone 16
- Specification supports Apple Intelligence
- Old Touch ID design will be retired
It looks like we’ll know pretty much everything there is to know about the iPhone SE 4 by the time Apple releases it early next year. A complete spec sheet covering everything from price has been leaked. Supports Wi-Fi from RAM.
This leak comes from famous tipster @Jukanlosreve, which means it’s likely accurate, but nothing is certain until the call is actually official. Some of these specs have been leaked before, while others are new.
As previously rumored, the spec sheet lists the A18 chipset as the chipset found in the iPhone SE 4 (the same processor as the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus). Apparently this will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Having the same chipset and RAM as the flagship iPhone is important for one important reason. That means iPhone SE 4 can do all the AI tricks and features that will start rolling out next week as part of Apple Intelligence.
screen and camera
The spec sheet suggests that we are looking at a 6.06-inch OLED display running at a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels. This is quite a step up from the 4.7-inch LCD panel on the 3rd generation iPhone SE (2022) and matches the iPhone 14 (as previously predicted).
This means that the iPhone SE 4 will be the first in the series to ditch the home button and Touch ID in favor of a more modern look for the latest flagship iPhones. The phone weighs 165 grams, which seems a bit heavier than the previous generation’s 144 grams.
Other specs listed here include a single 48MP rear camera, 12MP selfie camera, Wi-Fi 6 support, IP68-rated water and dust protection, and a battery capacity of 3,279mAh (up from 2,018 in the current model). mAh). ).
The leak lists a starting price of $499 for the iPhone SE 4, so we might have to expect an increase from the previous price of $429 / £419 / AU$719. This device, along with more new iPads, is expected to arrive in early 2025 (March is mentioned in this leak).
