Apple this week began selling certified refurbished 2022 iPad Pro and iPad Air models through its online store in additional countries including France, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Availability in the US and Canada began last month.
4th generation 11-inch iPad Pro with M2 chip, 6th generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro with M2 chip, and 5th generation iPad Air with M1 chip, each available in a variety of storage capacities and color options . Refurbished models are discounted approximately 15% compared to the original price of these iPads.
Apple first announced this particular iPad Air model in March 2022, followed by the iPad Pro model in October of the same year.
Apple says the refurbished iPad includes a new battery and shell, a new white box, and all manuals and accessories, including a USB-C charging cable and power adapter. Apple said refurbished devices go through a “thorough cleaning process and inspection” and are fully functionally tested to ensure there are no defects.
All refurbished iPads are covered by Apple’s 1-year limited warranty, 14-day return policy, and are eligible for AppleCare+.
You can save some money here, but these are clearly two-year-old iPad models with fewer years of iPadOS support left. Amazon often offers better deals on new-generation iPads that are new in the box.
