Apple Marketing Director Greg Jozwiak said today that Vision Pro will be available in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates on Friday, November 15th.
Apple said in a press release for South Korea that the Vision Pro will be available for pre-order starting Monday, November 4 at 10 a.m. local time. In a separate press release, Apple said pre-orders in the United Arab Emirates will begin at 5 a.m. local time on the same day.
Apple is currently localizing the Vision Pro and visionOS 2 pages in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates with details. Apple said that in South Korea, customers will be able to reserve a 30-minute Vision Pro demo at the country’s Apple Store. Apple said it plans to share more details about the experience once pre-orders begin.
Apple first launched the Vision Pro in the US in February, with prices starting at $3,499. In June and July, the headset launched in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. In addition to South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, the headset will be available in 12 countries and territories.
Research firm IDC predicted in July that Vision Pro sales would total less than 500,000 units this year. Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged in a recent interview that the Vision Pro is not a mass market product due to its high price.
“At $3,500, it’s not a mass market product,” Cook said. “Right now, this is an early adopter product. It’s for people who want to have tomorrow’s technology today. Fortunately, there are enough people who are in that camp, so It’s very interesting.”
