GOOGLE has upgraded its Android smartphones with a new feature that lets you “hide” apps.
It works like a kind of “digital safe” inside your phone, where you can store things you don’t want anyone to see.

The feature is called Private Spaces and is part of the latest Android 15 update.
Google says you might want to include social, dating, and banking apps there.
However, you can also save the Photos and Files apps that contain snaps that you want to keep private.
If you have Android 15 installed, you’re ready to go.
Google explains: “Private Space in Android 15 works like a digital safe on your phone.
“You can create separate private spaces to organize your sensitive apps, such as social, dating, and banking apps.
“When your private space is locked, your apps are effectively invisible to others and hidden from your app list, recent apps view, notifications, and settings.
“To access your private space, there is an extra layer of authentication to keep your app safe and protected from prying eyes.”
If you want to make your space even more private, you can hide the private space itself.
I mean, people won’t even notice it’s there.
How to use private spaces on Android
First, make sure you’ve updated to Android 15.

This will create a new area at the bottom of your app drawer to find hidden apps.
However, you can also hide your private space completely by going to your settings.
Google explains, “For even more privacy, you can choose to hide the existence of Private Spaces from your phone’s display.”
