Google is currently seeding eligible Pixel series smartphones and tablets with an Android 15-based stable update, including the company’s current flagship Pixel 9 series. This update brings several new features to Pixel smartphones.

Currently, 13 Pixel devices are eligible for the Android 15 update, including the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

When someone removes the SIM card from a Pixel smartphone running Android 15, the device requires authentication to access the device, and if authentication fails, the device is automatically locked and unusable.

The Android 15 update for the Pixel series also introduces new ways to manage apps, including Private Spaces, a feature that’s been available in custom skins like OneUI for a while. This allows users to hide certain apps from the app drawer and only access them after authenticating.

Android 15 adds new camera features across the Pixel lineup, including low-light boost and in-app camera controls, network improvements including satellite connectivity for messaging on eligible models, and one-tap app login with passkey. I am.

If you purchased a Pixel smartphone within the past few years, your device is likely eligible for the Android 15 update.
