Google today released what will be the last major release in the Android 15 QPR1 preview cycle, including Beta 3 for Pixel devices, ahead of its December launch. It’s been almost 6 weeks since the last release, and despite some outstanding bugs, there hasn’t been a patch in between.
Images are not yet available, but on-device OTA is live.
Quarterly platform releases provide more significant changes compared to monthly bug fixes. These are great for larger UI tweaks and new features that don’t require waiting for the next major Android version.
Historically, QPR has been relatively stable and launched as a beta rather than a developer preview. Google has officially stated that Android 15 QPR1 will be available in December and is “suitable for general use.”
