The Android 15 update introduces a new home control lock screen that now displays temperature and current weather conditions. This feature was introduced in Android 15 Beta 3 and provides quick access to home controls from the lock screen.
Here’s what we know
The home control screen operates in full-screen mode and can be quickly accessed from the quick settings menu or lock screen shortcut. At the top, you’ll find categories for controlling cameras, climate, lighting, and Wi-Fi. Below that you’ll find your favorite settings for quick access.
The time is displayed in the top right corner, and Google recently added temperature and weather conditions. This improvement is especially helpful for Pixel Tablet users. The home control screen is designed for hub mode with a charging pad, but is also available on smartphones.
Updates to the weather forecast on the home control screen are now possible through server-side changes. This follows the Dreams update for Pixel devices on Android 15 that was released two weeks ago.
