Amazon just announced its new Fire HD 8 tablet, and like many new gadgets in 2024, one of the big new features is AI-powered generation tools. However, you don’t necessarily need to buy a new Fire HD 8 to try them out. Amazon announced that it will also be compatible with Fire HD 10 and Fire Max 11 tablets.
The new AI tools are probably something you’ve seen before. Your device has writing assist features built into your device’s keyboard to help you improve your writing. Amazon’s Silk browser allows you to get an overview of a web page. You can now create wallpapers from the prompt. Amazon says the tool will begin rolling out to “all compatible Fire tablets later this month.”

The new Fire 8 HD is available now in Black, Emerald, and Hibiscus. Technically, the tablet has a starting price of $99.99, but it’s already on sale ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, meaning you can get the base model for almost half off at $54.99.
Amazon may also launch an updated version of its Kindle e-reader soon, as the Spanish retailer recently listed a new entry-level model with a brighter screen.
