As part of its October Prime Day sale, Amazon is offering $150 off the new 2024 Apple iPad Pro 11-inch M4 and Apple iPad Pro 13-inch M4 tablets. The 11-inch model starts at $849 (was $999) and the 13-inch model starts at $1,149 (was $1,299). These are the biggest discounts confirmed to date since the May 2024 release. The new iPad Pro boasts several key upgrades over its predecessor, including a more powerful M4 chip and the first-ever tandem OLED display.

The 2024 iPad Pro is the most powerful tablet on the market, iOS or otherwise, thanks to the powerful and power-efficient new M4 processor. Approximately 20% performance improvement compared to the previous generation iPad M2. However, the iPad Pro’s biggest update isn’t the M4 chip, it’s the tandem OLED panel, which hasn’t been seen in any Apple product before. Tandem OLEDs are superior to traditional OLEDs in two ways: (1) they are much brighter, and (2) they have less burn-in. If you’re wondering why this technology hasn’t been introduced to televisions, the answer is simply because it’s not cost-effective. The iPad avoids this problem because it has a much smaller 11-inch screen, but it’s also why the iPad Pro costs so much more than other iPads in Apple’s 2024 lineup.
