Samsung released the unexpected Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition last week, surprising many people who didn’t follow the leaks. The phone went on sale in South Korea on October 25th, and as you may already know, it sold out over the weekend.
Besides its attractive wide form factor, thin profile, upgraded camera, unique design, and less noticeable foldable display creases, Samsung’s Special Edition Fold has one last trick up its sleeve. It was sold with a wall charger.
The final trick for the Fold Special Edition
As you may know, modern smartphones no longer ship with wall chargers in most markets. This is to comply with regulations and limit the amount of waste generated by new smartphone purchases.
Even in South Korea, for example, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 does not come with a charger, only a USB-C cable. But surprisingly, Samsung seems to have made an exception for the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Needless to say, special edition phones received special treatment here, as they ship with more items than the standard version. Those who bought the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition right away while supplies last received a USB-C cable, leather case, SIM tool, and finally a 25W charger.
All of this, and everything else that makes the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition different, costs about $300 more than the standard 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 6.
