iPhone 16 Pro, 1 month later
iPhone 16 Pro, 1 month later
It’s been a month since I reviewed the iPhone 16 Pro with the 16 Pro Max. We then spent more time with them to test the battery, A 17 Pro chip, camera control buttons, and Apple Intelligence. That last one is a joke. It hasn’t come out yet. So let’s get down to business. First of all, let me say that even without Apple Intelligence, I absolutely love my iPhone 16 Pro, and Apple Intelligence (Beta) has been my daily driver for the past month. It is currently rumored to drop at the end of October as part of Iowa State’s 18.1. There will definitely be a lot more to say about it then. But since I’m running an early preview version of Apple Intelligence, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite features. I’ll summarize. This manifests itself in a few different ways on the iPhone 16 Pro. If you’re running the beta version, you can summarize text and email threads. But my favorite use is to summarize online stories. So if you see a clickbait headline in your newsfeed about telling you the meaning of life or how to cook the best chicken, just press the summary button to avoid all the ads. Pop-ups and newsletters drive tons of referrals with Amazon links and get right to the point. now. Is it worth buying iPhone 16 Pro for Apple Intelligences?Summary tools? No, but I like the direction Apple is going. First, I’d like to highlight a few underrated features of the 16 Pro. The first is the new low-brightness screen. This screen can go down to 1 hertz, but how dark is it? Well, the 15 Pro is down to two, but the difference doesn’t seem that big. However, in real life, the glare from mobile phones is much less, especially for people who read books in bed or in a dark environment. And I really appreciate that the next underrated feature that I would like to mention is the speaker. These cell phone speakers, whether Pro or Pro Max, are not only loud but also have beautiful sound quality and even a little bass. I don’t know if this is the best speaker ever on a phone, but it’s definitely the best speaker ever on an iPhone. These phones have a new camera control button, and while I like the idea of that button, I don’t think the execution is perfect. I think the placement is a little strange. I think it’s a great shortcut to open the camera, but you can also use other buttons on the phone to do it, but real users can’t bring up menus or do small tasks. Masu. If you’re shooting a gun, this is not a button to use any on-screen functionality. It’s still fast. I feel like Apple wanted this to be a visual intelligence button, but it wasn’t ready at launch. And it would be really weird if Apple released a phone with a new button that did nothing. And it seems like these camera-related things were intended to be really nice additions. So if you’re looking to buy this phone just for that button, I don’t think it’s great. While using a cell phone, a question often asked by many photographers, friends, and creative types is: Is the phone’s camera new? And it actually depends on the model of Six Pro . All three cameras on the back were missing from the 15 Pro. All three are new on the 16 Pro Max. The only new thing is the ultra-wide-angle camera and the main camera sensor. The telephoto is exactly the same as the 15 Pro Max’s telephoto, with a focus on Apple intelligence. One thing that I feel has been overshadowed in mobile phones is I OS 18. It’s great and has so many great features, including the ability to add new tap backs, which are emojis, to your conversations. But one of my favorites goes back to online articles. Well, let’s say Apple Intelligence didn’t have that summarization tool. Now there’s a way to access websites and remove distractions. You can remove ads, remove pop-ups, and optionally remove videos from the pages you’re reading. Not only can you delete it, but it has really satisfying animations that make you feel like you’re reading it. Once you run Thanos Snap, that ad will disappear. snap. That video has disappeared. I really like the original film for iPhone 16 Pro. I can’t help but shout out how much I love the new Slomo feature: 4K 120 frames per second video recording. And I still think this is one of the best new iPhone features in years. A month later, I’m still using it quite a bit, but I’ve dabbled more in the Pro resolution version. So I’d like to try it out more since it allows me to save larger files with more detail. But for everyday stuff, I love using slow motion and it looks great. I love posting these on Instagram and sharing them with my friends. My favorite feature of the iPhone 16 Pro, but don’t kid yourself. It’s a battery. Battery life is excellent. Is it dramatically better than the 15 Pro? No, but it has one of the best and longest-lasting batteries of any phone we’ve tested this year. Let me explain. Not only was the battery strong enough to get me through the day; The iPhone 16 Pro aced the 45-minute battery drain test of playing games, streaming video, scrolling, using social media, and making video calls in CNET’s battery test. . The iPhone 16 Pro and the entire 16 series have been great. In other words, we’ll take a look at the iPhone 16 Plus’ scores to show you how the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max compare to previous iPhone Pro bottles in the same test. The differences between the 16 Pro and Pro Max and the 14 Pro and Pro Max are stark. We saw significant improvement in our 3-hour streaming video test. These phones have some improvements compared to last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, which did similarly well. And here’s how the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max compared to other smartphones. And it is alongside the likes of Galaxy S 24 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Of course, the outlier here is 1 plus 12, which only decreased by 5% in 3 hours. Regarding charging. I ran a 30-minute wired charging test on my iPhone. Currently, Apple isn’t saying what charging speeds Macs support, instead recommending a 20-watt wall charger. However, some publications and tech YouTubers have said that the phone could support 45-watt wired charging. So I used a 67-watt charger on the Pro model and charged the empty battery to 56% and 57% on the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, respectively. But one pleasant surprise is that these phones support 25 watt magsafe wireless charging. You will need to purchase a 30 watt charger for your magsafe charger. However, in our 30-minute wireless charging test, the phone charged 25-50% wirelessly, and the 50% charge from the iPhone 16 Pro is just outstanding. got it. After using these phones for a month, my favorite in particular is the iPhone 16 Pro. My recommendation on this remains unchanged from my original view. If you have an iPhone 12 Pro or earlier, it’s a huge upgrade in every way, if possible and if you can afford it. If you have a 13 Pro, I’m a little on the fence. If your phone still has some ad battery capacity left, there’s no reason to upgrade. Also, if you have a 14 Pro or 15 Pro, there’s no great reason to upgrade unless you have a really good reason. I know you can get Apple Intelligence from the 14 Pro, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it at this point. These are my thoughts on the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. 1 month later. The next big shade to drop on these phones will be Apple and Intelligence’s public release. Not everything will work, like Chat GP T integration, Gen Moji, and Image Playground will no longer be available, but it should make these iPhones feel more complete. But now I would like to hear your opinion. If you own an iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max, what’s your favorite feature? Let us know in the comments. Finally, if you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and thank you for watching.
