COSTCO is selling an “incredible” £21 gadget that will keep you warm all winter long. And it’s even cheaper than the Aldi version.

This simple and budget-friendly item will also save you money on heating costs.

The Berkshire Life Heated Throw, a comfortable electric blanket, is on sale at the affordable price of £21.58 on the Hot UK Deals website.

Costco’s website lists it at a reasonable price of £23.98.

Electric blankets work by having electrical wires embedded within the fabric.

The Costco version is made of faux fur and has a velvet-like texture on the back, designed to keep you extra warm during the winter months.

It has four temperature settings and a four-hour shutoff setting to reduce the risk of overheating and fire.

It comes in brown, gray and dark teal colors and is machine washable.

How does it compare to other electric blankets?

This comfortable throw is even cheaper than Aldi’s version, which retails at £29.99.

This Ambiano Heated Throw has 9 settings and comes in snowy white, cool gray, and burnt charcoal colors.

It’s also cheaper than Asda’s £30 electric teddy fleece.

However, shoppers looking to save even more money can also opt for the £18.99 version on Amazon.

At the other end of the spectrum, Lakeland offers an electric blanket for £84.99, with the White Company version retailing for £150.

How much can I save on electricity bills?

Heating costs are a big topic this year, so these blankets could be the solution to lowering your energy bills.

As colder weather approaches, many households will see their energy bills negatively affected, with some seeing their bills rise by £149 each year.

Electric blankets typically cost just a few pence per hour to run, but you can save even more by choosing a cooler setup.

How to bag bargain items

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements shows you how to find discounted items and save money…

Sign up for loyalty schemes with brands you shop with regularly.

Major companies regularly offer discounts, special low prices, and other perks to their members.

Sales are when you can get some real steals.

Retailers usually run regular promotions around paydays and public holiday weekends at the end of the month, so be on the lookout and shop when these sales are on.

Be the first to know about special offers by signing up for our mailing list. It’s also worth following retailers on social media.

When purchasing online, always search for discount codes and vouchers that you can use. vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that aggregate promotions by retailer.

A scanner app is convenient to have on your smartphone. The Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to spot discounts in-store before they are marked by staff.

And always check to see if you qualify for cashback before paying. This means you’ll either get some of your money back or get a discount on the product.
