  • Unofficial video shows One UI 7.0 in action
  • There are changes to quick settings and camera
  • Beta version is expected to be published by the end of 2024

Samsung Galaxy S25 devices are expected to launch in January, and we expect Samsung’s version of Android 15, One UI 7.0, to arrive around the same time. Luckily, a new hands-on video has given us an early introduction to this software and its features.

This video was posted by Mobile Wala Bhai (via SamMobile) and shows the software running on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra device. Officially, there is also no beta release of One UI 7.0 yet, so it is unclear where this software came from.

One of the upcoming changes seen in this clip is a redesigned quick settings panel. This panel appears when you swipe down from the top of the screen. This panel now has more elements and gives you access to more options.

For example, you can quickly adjust the display brightness by sliding your finger left or right, or tap to enable or disable dark mode. Additionally, notifications have their own panel, separate from other settings and toggles.

This video also highlights some of the design tweaks made to the stock apps in One UI 7.0, including the Gallery app. We expect the software to emerge with a more modern look across the board.

Changes have also been made to the standard camera app, with the revamped interface making the various camera modes and zoom level options more prominent, and appears to be easier to use with one hand.

It would be interesting to see some of these features in use, but many of them have already been leaked, so it’s not too surprising. Samsung briefly showed off One UI 7.0 at its developer conference earlier this month.

At the same conference, Samsung announced that the beta version of One UI 7.0 will be released by the end of this year, but the final version will have to wait until 2025. In the meantime, expect more sneak previews and leaks to emerge.
