This week, we added several new issues to the list of known issues for Windows 11 version 24H2. Some of these have now been alleviated, such as the BlueScreen crash that plagued users of certain Western Digital storage devices.

New or significantly improved Windows apps
opera one r2
Opera has released a major update to its browser. Opera One R2 adds support for dynamic themes, AI-powered command line improvements, support for image generation and understanding, and support for split tabs.
More interesting than all this is Opera Software’s pledge to continue supporting Manifest V2 extensions such as uBlock Origin.
sucrose
Sucrose is an open source app for Windows 10 and 11 that lets you add dynamic backgrounds to your desktop. Although it is not the first software to offer this feature, it comes with a very wide range of options and features.
To name a few: Dark and light themes, support for multiple screens, and even API support for developers.
vivaldi 7
Vivaldi has launched a major update to its web browser. The new release introduces a new dashboard that replaces the traditional new tab page in your browser. It is customizable and also supports displaying web pages.
Other changes include new floating tab design and icon improvements, and support for RSS feed folders.
