Circle to Search is finally rolling out to more phones currently on the market. OnePlus 12 is the latest phone to be featured in Google’s Circle to Search due to its OS upgrade to Android 15.
OnePlus 12 is set to get Android 15 through an update to OxygenOS 15, and the company is explaining exactly what that means. Basically, there’s a lot of AI coming to OnePlus 12, including new imaging features and productivity tools that will make your work and play a little easier.
Circle to Search was part of that update and quickly became one of the most popular features on Android devices. This tool allows you to quickly take a temporary screenshot of your display by tapping and holding the home button or navigation bar. In that brief moment, users can circle items of interest, copy text, or translate what’s on the screen. Turn it into a multi-functional toolbox with the press of a virtual button.
On OnePlus 13, this feature works similarly. This is essentially unchanged from Google’s original feature design, with search, translation, and music identification at the bottom.
Android 15 will be released for OnePlus 12 on October 30th, and with it, Circle to Search will be released as well. It will be a while before the OnePlus 12R comes with Android 15 and Circle to Search, but it’s definitely coming. Be sure to check back for updates as they become available.
