Apple’s BKC store in Mumbai and Select City Walk store in Delhi each employ 90 to 100 people, including part-time shift workers. The company aims to hire the same number of employees at its new stores in Bangalore, Pune, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.

Apple recruiters have already begun sourcing talent on job sites like LinkedIn. One of Apple India’s recruiters said, “It’s amazing to see Apple expanding into this great country of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. I would like to talk to you.”

Apple’s decision to expand its retail operations in India follows the success of its BKC outlet in Mumbai and Select City Mall store in Delhi. Launched by CEO Tim Cook in April last year, the two stores generated revenue of around Rs 800 crore in the first year, with 60% of sales coming from smaller stores in Delhi. .
