Tivoli Audio Revive Bluetooth speaker review: A gadget that clutters up your workspace, but is it worth the price?

Unpacking Tivoli Audio Revive

Revive comes in a large box with a premium unboxing experience. Securely packed with sufficient packaging material to ensure safe storage during transit. Other than the speaker itself, only the power adapter and user manual are included. The power adapter comes with multiple international plug attachments, allowing you to choose the one appropriate for your country’s standards.

Revive’s offer is well designed, except for one small thing that I’ll explain later. A wooden cube is attached to the first half of the wooden board, and the other half appears to be empty. This wooden cube acts as both a Bluetooth speaker and a lamp. This cube has a mesh for the speaker on one side and a lamp on the top. The cube rotates approximately 15 degrees on each side, allowing the audio to be tilted toward the user.

The other half of the Revive is a wireless charger with touch capacitive buttons to control the lamp. The buttons that control the speakers are located just below the speaker module. You’ll see Tivoli Audio branding on the front, and there’s a USB port on the right for charging other gadgets. On the back is a barrel plug that powers the entire package.

Overall I like the design of the Tivoli Audio Revive. And the best part is that it is made of suitable wood. It weighs just over 1 kg and has rubber feet to keep it stable on any surface. Revive comes in three colors. Black, white, grey, I bought the black version but the white color looks great if you ask me.

One design flaw I have to point out is the placement of the touch-responsive keys on the control lamps. It’s right next to the wireless charger, but when I try to charge my phone, the light accidentally lights up. Because this happens so often, Tivoli Audio recommends moving the touch capacitive keys directly to the lamp itself. This allows you to easily turn on the lamp without any confusion.

Tivoli Audio Revive: Wireless Charger

The first and most important part of the Revive is the wireless charger. Since it is a Qi standard compatible charger, it is a wireless charger that can charge any smartphone. Unfortunately, this charger is only 5W, so it takes a long time to charge your phone. During testing, it took around 3-4 hours to fully charge a smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery.

One thing that really bothered me about this wireless charger is that the wireless charging section has markings showing the exact location of the wireless charger. However, with the black color I got, the marks are less noticeable. The two things I really wanted with the Revive were the option of a stationary wireless charger and a fast charging (18W or higher) USB port on the side.

Tivoli Audio Revive: Bluetooth speaker

Revive’s Bluetooth speaker is cubic-shaped and mounted on a cylinder with four buttons to control the speaker. You can adjust the direction of the audio by rotating the speaker 15 degrees to either side. It would have been better if the speakers could rotate. The speaker is made of fabric mesh, which gives it a premium look and feel.

The speakers aren’t very powerful, so you can’t get a lot of volume, but the sound quality is good enough to enjoy all kinds of music. Tivoli Audio Revive also comes with a 3.5mm port, so you can easily play music via an AUX cable. Overall the sound quality of the Bluetooth speaker is good enough for listening to music in the morning.

Tivoli Audio Revive: Lamp

Tivoli Audio Revive comes with a light on the top of the speaker area. This lamp has a solid, warm tone, making it ideal for use as a bedside lamp. It has four brightness levels and can be controlled with touch-responsive keys. However, this button placement is somewhat inconvenient. Located right next to the wireless charging pad, the touch capacitive design makes it easy to accidentally turn the lamp on and off when charging your phone.

Tivoli Audio Revive is a unique combination of three gadgets in one with its sleek design and versatility. for INRFor $21,990, you could easily buy the Bluetooth speaker, wireless charger, and lamp separately, potentially saving you money. However, managing three separate devices on your desk can lead to clutter and require more effort. Therefore, we only recommend Revive if you are looking for a product that simplifies setup and is practical while blending seamlessly into your home decor.
