Samsung has rolled out a new update with the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy A53 smartphone. The update is currently available to users in Europe, and the company plans to make it available in other regions soon.
October 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy A53 smartphone arrives with One UI build A536BXXSCEXIA. The installation package size for this update is approximately 266MB. Based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1.
This Galaxy A series smartphone is eligible for the next One UI update, One UI 7. Back in August 2024, the Galaxy A53 smartphone appeared on Geekbench with One UI 7 and Android 15. It showed an impressive performance of 826 on single core and Android 15. 1621 for multi-core.
New updates bring security improvements, stability optimizations, bug fixes, and enhancements to give you a better Galaxy experience. However, there are no new features or changes.
Specifically, the October 2024 security patch fixes more than 40 issues, including two critical CVEs and 28 high-level CVEs from Google. Additionally, the Samsung patch includes 12 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items. Fixes issues related to system services, Knox services, etc.

- Go to Settings.
- Select “Software Update” from the menu.
- Tap on the “Download and Install” option to start the update process.
