The subscription-based streaming service that allows local fans to watch Nuggets and Avalanche games is now available for download on mobile devices and Apple TV, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment announced Wednesday.
The streaming platform, called Altitude+, is not yet available as a smart TV app with Roku, Amazon Fire, or Android TV, according to a news release. In late September, when KSE announced plans to launch Altitude+, a company spokesperson said the smart TV version of the app could be released weeks after the mobile version. The Abs have seven games left in the 2024-25 season, and the Nuggets will announce their results Thursday night at Ball Arena.
The first Avalanche game to be broadcast live on Altitude+ is Thursday against Colorado against the NHL’s new Utah Hockey Club. The Nuggets season opener will not be available on Altitude+ as the game is exclusive to the National Network (TNT). Denver’s second game, Saturday against the Clippers, will be available for streaming as it is scheduled to be broadcast on Altitude Sports. Subscription fee is $19.95.
Altitude+’s debut comes five years after the ongoing horse-drawn dispute between Comcast and Kroenke-owned regional sports network Altitude Sports, which resulted in Nuggets and Avalanche games being made available to Comcast subscribers. It’s gone.
In addition to streaming platforms, 20 Nuggets games and 20 Avalanche games will be aired for free on My20 (KTVD-20). Ten of these games will also be broadcast on Denver-area NBC affiliate KUSA-9.
The Nuggets and Avalanche also announced Wednesday a commercial partnership with sports gambling brand bet365. According to the release, new Altitude+ subscribers who sign up via bet365 will receive the first two months of the streaming service for free.
