LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) has released a new smartphone app to help keep Southwest Louisiana informed.
The app gives users instant access to items of public interest such as fraud alerts, jail information, sex offender lists and sheriff’s operations, the sheriff’s office said. Users can also submit tips to the CPSO on the app to pay taxes, tickets, and court fines.
“This app makes it easier for our community to stay informed, report tips, and contact our office quickly and conveniently,” said Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory. Ta. “You can also receive emergency notifications directly from the CPSO by downloading the app and allowing notifications in your phone settings.”
CPSO said the app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, which specializes in mobile app development for sheriff’s offices and public safety organizations nationwide.
The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play by searching for “Calcasieu Parish Sheriff, LA.”
