Apple this month announced a new iPad mini powered by the A17 Pro chip and Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence is an easy-to-use personal intelligence system that understands your personal context and provides useful, relevant intelligence while protecting your privacy. Featuring a popular ultraportable design, the new iPad mini comes in four gorgeous finishes, including new blue and purple, and features a brilliant 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display.
Robert Leedham of British GQ:
Unlike the iPhone mini, which waxed and waned over the years, Apple’s little iPad has been thriving for more than a decade, a testament to its surprisingly wide appeal. Perfect if you’re a frequent traveler and need an extra screen that won’t take up too much space in your suitcase. It’s a powerful notepad with added compatibility with Apple Pencil Pro, and it’s also an incredibly versatile work-from-home companion. Most of these were true before the mini’s latest upgrade, and the latest set of tweaks only solidifies its status as an absolute delight. Apple makes a lot of great iPads, but the mini remains the undisputed great product.
Mac Daily News Notes: The Apple Intelligence-enabled iPad Mini (A17 Pro) with WiFi + Cellular and 512GB storage costs $949. The iPad Mini (A17 Pro) with WiFi and 128GB storage costs $499. This is the price point for Apple’s smallest iPad. The previous generation iPad mini (A15 Bionic) starts at $349.99 and does not support Apple Intelligence.
