A few days ago, Samsung released the October 2024 security update for Galaxy A54 in European countries. Now, the company has released the same security update for the Galaxy A54 in more countries, including Asia and North America.
Galaxy A54 applies October 2024 security update more broadly
The new update applies to Galaxy A54 in Asian and North American countries. The update includes the firmware version A546EXXSACXI3 Also in Bangladesh, India and Nepal. In the US, this update is available for carrier-locked units of the Galaxy A54. On Comcast, US Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile networks, updates come with firmware versions A546USQS9CXI3. On AT&T, DISH, Metro PCS, and T-Mobile networks, updates include firmware versions A546USQS9CXI5.
This is just a security update and has no new features or performance improvements. It comes with the October 2024 security patch, which fixes more than 40 security vulnerabilities found in the phone’s previous software versions.
If you own a Galaxy A54 and live in one of the countries listed above, you can check for new updates for your device now. To do this, go to setting » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from the firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A54 with Android 13 pre-installed in early 2023. The mid-range smartphone received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update in late 2023 and the One UI 6.1 update earlier this year. The Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update was expected to be released by the end of this year, but now that Samsung has postponed the release of One UI 7.0, it may be released early next year.
