A new rumor from Macotakara claims that Apple started developing the iPhone SE 4 with a 6.7-inch display similar to the one used in the iPhone 14 Plus, but has since moved on to a 6.1-inch model.
According to Alibaba Sources, development of the iPhone SE 4 initially started with the same 6.7-inch size as the iPhone 14 Plus. Later, a 6.1-inch model was added to the development process to match the size of the iPhone 14.
Despite allegedly creating prototypes in two sizes, the site states that Apple may choose to release the iPhone SE 4 in only one size.
The final design and size choices have not been confirmed, but it is likely that only one size will be released, similar to the current third-generation iPhone SE.
In the video embedded below, Macotakara examines a mockup of the iPhone SE 4 and compares it to the iPhone 14.
The following observations were recorded:
• Same size as iPhone 14 (6.1 inch display)
• The mute switch is small and slightly raised.
• The rear camera is smaller and has a different flash position.
• iPhone 14 case leaves a gap around the camera
• 5 holes on the bottom right side and 3 holes on the left side.
• May include USB-C port
• Speaker and microphone setup similar to iPhone 14
• The TPU case fits, but does not fit completely around the camera.
• Screen protector fits perfectly
