Apple Loop is here to remind you of some of the many discussions surrounding Apple over the past seven days. Also check out Forbes’ weekly digest of Android news.
iPhone 17 Pro specs leaked
The next iPhone Pro smartphones seem poised to build on the spec improvements the iPhone 16 Pro family needs to catch up with Android. The new world of AI requires more working memory. When it comes to power to run the latest models, you’ll need new processor technology from the updated Apple Silicon chipset.
“The previous iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max had this much storage, but the regular iPhone 15 and 15 Plus had 6GB, so they couldn’t handle Apple Intelligence… In a previous report, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max says this has been increased to 12GB and there is now a move to a 2-nanometer chip.

iPhone SE design tips
Although the design of the iPhone SE has not been completely leaked, we can clearly see the exterior design from the case that will be released. Naturally, there will be more leaks around these than the actual hardware. And we’ll take a close look at what happens next.
“The case has a flat back panel with a cutout for the rear camera and appears to be slightly larger than the one on the iPhone SE 3. This means the iPhone SE 4 has two cameras, a first for the series. The iPhone SE 4 already takes design cues from the iPhone 14 and is the first of Apple’s low-cost “special edition” iPhones to remove Face ID and Touch ID in the notch. It is expected that ”

Introducing the new iPad Mini
This week, the new iPad Mini was announced as a surprise. It’s widely expected to launch alongside the new M4 trio of MacBook Pro models, and a press release arrived earlier this week. Not surprisingly, Apple’s generative AI suite was also mentioned.
“The previous iPad mini used the A15 Bionic chip, which was faster but didn’t support Apple Intelligence, so Apple moved this chip to the A17 Pro, which was first introduced in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro. Apple sells it.” This is a big upgrade in many ways, but support for Apple Intelligence is a big upgrade. ”

What’s in the iPad box?
Apple has made some notable decisions regarding the packaging of the new iPad Mini. The USB-C cable is reinforced with a braided cover, but European customers will miss out on the charger. If you need a new one, you will need to purchase it separately.
“This change is believed to be in response to EU regulations on e-waste that will come into force from 2026, but will also impact some European countries that are not members of the EU.”

Mac users want to know more?
Following several developer releases, Apple has made the beta version of macOS Sequoia available to the public. It’s not finished yet, but for the adventurous, there’s enough information here to see what Apple has plans for desk-bound computers. Yes, once again, this is Apple intelligence.
“iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are the first updates to include Apple Intelligence features. Although not all AI features have been added, the beta version includes writing tools, Siri updates, Overview, and AI. Apple Intelligence features require an iPhone 15 Pro, an iPhone 16 model, or an M series Mac or iPad. ”

Compatible with MacBook
Meanwhile, the M4 MacBook Pro model (yet to be announced) is being rolled off the production line as Apple stocks the new laptop ahead of its expected launch at the end of October.
“Apple is expected to announce new MacBook Pro models featuring the latest M4 chip in October, which could result in increased shipments of related components,” the paywalled report published today states. has been done. “This trend is evident in the September earnings reports of component manufacturers such as Jarllytec and Shin Zu Shing.”

And finally…
Apple has invested heavily in AI marketing for the new iPhone, but its backlog of Apple Intelligence won’t be fully available until March 2025. Tim Cook and his team might have been better off highlighting how AI is being used in other apps. Do you focus on writing or creative support?
“The system, called Depth Pro, can generate detailed 3D depth maps from a single 2D image in a matter of seconds, without relying on the camera data traditionally required to make such predictions. This technology is in the field of monocular depth estimation, the process of estimating depth using only one image.”
