Samsung plans to change its established design language with the launch of the Galaxy A36 (and possibly the A56). You can see the new look in these 3D renderings. GizNext and ONLEAKS.
Mobile phones go back in time. The three camera lenses on the back are no longer separate elements, but are grouped into a vertically arranged camera island. This is similar to what happened with things like the Galaxy A30 a few years ago.

Samsung will maintain some design elements from the current A series, such as the key island (the protrusion that houses the power and volume keys). The A36 is narrower than the A35, measuring 77.9 mm (vs. 78.0 mm) and 78.4 mm including the key island. The new model is slightly taller at 162.6mm (vs. 161.7mm).
One reason for this is that Samsung is increasing the screen size on the Galaxy A36 to 6.64 inches (from 6.60 inches). The upcoming model will be slimmer than its predecessor, with a thickness of 7.4 mm (down from 8.2 mm). Including the camera bump, the maximum thickness is 9.6mm. Battery capacity has not yet been announced.
We recently saw a Samsung Galaxy A36 (SM-A366B) running Geekbench on Android 15. The chipset wasn’t completely clear. Either Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or 7s Gen 2. This means another switch in supplier for the A3x series. , started with the Dimensity 1080 on the A34 and the Exynos 1380 on the A35.

Anyway, back to the display. It’s a flat panel with a central punch-hole for the selfie camera and slightly asymmetrical bezels. In other words, when viewed from the front, the A36 looks almost identical to its predecessor. There is no fingerprint reader on the side, so it will be integrated into the display (no changes here).
The Samsung Galaxy A56 was also leaked recently, this one powered by the new Exynos 1580 chipset with AMD RDNA graphics. Don’t get your hopes up with these leaks. It will probably be a few more months before the A36 and A56 officially arrive (A35 and A55 go on sale in mid-March).
