Let’s be honest: You’re likely to use the same few apps on your Apple Watch over and over again. For workouts, Strava or Apple’s own Workout app may be used. For music, I use Apple Music or Spotify. Of course they’re great, but there’s more out there.
Apple Watch comes with 44 pre-downloaded apps, but you can download tens of thousands of third-party apps from the App Store. And you can unlock new features, abilities, and games from your Apple Watch.
Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite lesser-known Apple Watch apps for you to try out.
Fun app for easy reminders
2Doodle is a simple yet incredibly useful doodle app that lets you create quick sketches and take notes on your Apple Watch. Those “drawings” appear on the dial and act as a little reminder.
Admittedly, this app does not work with all watch faces. You need a dial that supports complications. Also, using your finger to draw on the watch’s small display is, well, sloppy. However, the ability to easily take notes to remember something later is definitely useful.
