Apple doesn’t have the best 24 hours for online services. Last night, we reported an issue with App Store Connect, AppleCare, and other services. Well today, many users are reporting that the App Store itself is down.
Users report App Store outage
According to Downdetector.com, many users are reporting that they are unable to access the App Store. The outage appears to have started between 10 and 11 a.m. ET and includes several thousand reports as of this publication.
Apple’s System Status page now shows the App Store running normally and showing a green status light. However, we emphasize that purchasing subscriptions is currently suspended.
We don’t know if all users reporting App Store outages are only experiencing issues when managing their subscriptions, but it’s highly unlikely.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the App Store situation to see if Apple acknowledges this outage or announces more details soon.
Fortunately, the service that was offline last night appears to have since been repaired. All Apple developer services are currently not experiencing any additional issues.
