Samsung has long been reported to be working on a second Fold 6 version, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which features improvements over the standard model.
And now, two renders of the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition have surfaced online. The renders show that the smartphone has three cameras and a flat frame with curved corners.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition renders leaked
Renowned leaker Evan Blass shared two renderings of the flip phone on Twitter/X. Blass didn’t mention the name of the device, but previous design reports suggest it could be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.
The first render shows the back of the phone, which features a triple camera arrangement with a raised camera island and a separate camera ring. The second image shows the right side of the device, which houses the power button. It also reveals a flat frame in rose gold color with curved corners and some texturing.
Other than these two images, Evan did not reveal any other details about the smartphone, including its name.
Previous reports suggest that Samsung may offer significant improvements with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.
The new model is approximately 0.6 mm thinner than the standard Z Fold 6 and has a titanium frame for added durability. It may also come with an improved under-display camera and a 200MP primary camera on the back.
It is likely to come with a larger cover screen and main display of 6.5 inches and 8 inches, respectively, up from the standard model’s 7.6-inch main screen and 6.3-inch cover screen.
Recent rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition may have an even more discreet display crease than the standard model.
We’ll be hearing more about the device in the coming days, as leaked advertising material suggests general sales will begin on October 25th in some regions, with a launch date on October 18th. It is expected that you will know.
