The just-announced Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has arrived at our headquarters for review, but before we try it out, let’s do a quick unboxing to see what it has to offer.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G comes in a white retail box that includes some documents, a SIM ejector tool, and a charging cable. There is a blue model, but you can choose from three additional colors.
On the front, there is a 6.7-inch FullHD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen with a notch for the 13MP selfie camera. However, there is no fingerprint scanner underneath as it is embedded in the power button.
Flip the phone over and you’ll see a plastic back cover with a vertical triple camera setup on the left corner. This is a combination of a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
Under the hood, it is powered by an Exynos 1330 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Samsung Galaxy A16 5G runs One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 out of the box and promises 6 years of Android version upgrades and 6 years of security updates, which is one of the biggest highlights of the smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is IP54 rated, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support keeps the whole package running. However, the smartphone does not ship with a power adapter, so if you don’t have a compatible power adapter, you’ll have to spend extra money.
We will start the review process soon, so find out if the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is worth your purchase.
