Cincinnati — Former Bengals cornerback Eli Apple is back in the NFL. The veteran will sign with the Chargers after practicing for the team on Monday.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Apple will start on the practice squad.
The 29-year-old is entering his ninth season. He spent two years (2021-22) in Cincinnati, recording 98 tackles and two interceptions in 31 games.
Apple played for the Dolphins last season, appearing in 10 games. The Bengals will play the Chargers on November 17th in Los Angeles.
